Where is the Villa de l’Etang in Saint-Martin?

Villa de l’Etang (meaning ‘villa of the lake’) is a 30-minute drive from Grand Case l’Espérance Airport, and 10 minutes from Juliana Airport, on the south coast of Saint-Martin the“friendly island”. Located on a huge one hectare plot, this luxury villa enjoys an exceptional location, on the edge of the Grand Etang, in the popular sector of the Terres Basses (the French part of the island). Fully fenced and secured by an electric gate, you can park up to three vehicles within this private estate.

On entering the gate, you will arrive at a splendid entrance opening out on a huge property of one hectare, with a bird’s eye view of the lake. Past the doorstep, you will be amazed by the refined and neat decoration inside. An American-style kitchen overlooking the living room is fully equipped (a blender, a toaster, a Nespresso coffee maker, an American refrigerator, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, etc.).The kitchen’s central island will allow you to have lunch while watching the smart TV, unless you prefer to use the large table on the veranda overlooking the pool. Guests can also relax from the sofa in the indoor lounge or the sofa on the veranda. For your comfort these spaces are also air-conditioned. A guest WC is placed right next to the kitchen. 

The master suite adjoins the living room and has a dressing room, a bathroom with walk-in shower, and a bed of 200x200 cm, overlooking the swimming pool. A second master suite, also adjacent to the living room, offers views of the garden and the lake. It is equipped with a bed of 180x200 cm with an ensuite bathroom, a walk-in shower and a toilet. A final suite is located on another part of the property, right next to the pool. The latter has a bed of 180x200 cm, with an ensuite bathroom and a walk-in shower, as well as access to two decks (with a small private lounge). 

 The 6x 2.50m swimming pool is located at the center of the Villa de l’Etang. It is framed by the dining room, outdoor lounges, and a hammockin which you can bask in the sun. The undeniable asset of this luxury villa in Saint-Martin is its view of the lake and its huge grounds, offering a feeling of an absolute change of scenery from the day-to-day routine. A small living room is set up in the garden, right next to the lake, will be your evening spot to unwind in the moonlight in the gentle, warm breezes of the island.

What to do near the Villa de l’Etang in Saint-Martin?

On the beautiful island of Saint-Martin, there is no room for boredom! Despite its 95.83 km² size, the island is packed with multiple and varied activities, whether nautical or terrestrial. From the villa de l’Etang it is a 19 minute-walk to the beach of Cupecoy and 11 minutes to the vast beach of Baie Longue. To start the day, we recommend a short walk or jog around the residential area, then head to the beach for an invigorating sea bath.

Gastronomy is an integral part of the island of Saint-Martin,famous restaurants are numerous where you can enjoy fresh island food, whether at Baie Nettlé, Marigot, or those of Orient Bay. Or perhaps you prefer to head to the nearby islands, taking the ferry for a day trip to the island of Anguilla or Saint Barthelemy, where you can also discover new sights.
