The biography of Catherine, explorer Sint Maarteen

I'm passionate about the Caribbean and all the riches it has to offer, so it was an obvious choice for me to work in a sector that allows me to promote the islands. Curious by nature and with several years' experience in tourism, I know Sint Marteen very well and would be delighted to help you discover this magnificent destination.

3 inside's questions to our explorer!

Why Sint Marteen ?

Cosmopolitan Island, the change of scenery begins with culture. Indeed, the island is home to nearly 120 nationalities! Its dual identity offers white sandy beaches, a superb nature reserve, a vibrant nightlife, and a diverse dining scene. Between sharing, hospitality, encounters, and relaxation, the Friendly Island, as it is nicknamed, surprises many! So, we adopt Sint Maarten because it's a paradise in itself and there's always something happening, whether it's festive, gastronomic, or sporting events, reconnecting with nature, or shopping. Attention, indulging in Sint Maarten can be addictive :) We love SXM!

When do we go to Sint Marteen?

It's a great place to live and escape to all year round, as the tropical climate ensures pleasant temperatures throughout the year (between 23°C in winter, up to 34°C in August). I particularly enjoy the months of July and August in terms of festivities (August Monday in Anguilla, soca & dancehall concerts, carnival in April, and the Heineken Regatta). However, between the months of December and May, you can enjoy a drier climate.

Your favorite place in Sint Marteen ?

It's going to be a beach, Mullet Bay, because that's where I can watch the planes land without getting blown away! A lazy day in front of a turquoise sea, a blue sky... I'm in paradise.
